1972 - Fagor Electrotecnica gives birth to the
“Industrial Automation” department.

1975 - First Fagor DRO, linear encoder and DC Drive.
First DC Drive and first CNC for 1, 2 or 3 axes.

1978 - (200/300 CNC).

1980 - The department of Industrial Automation devices
becomes an independent cooperative: AURKI.

- 8000 CNC, first in its generation; compact, with
high-end features and the rest of the CNC

1984 - Sells a 3-year license to GENERAL ELECTRIC
(USA), for the exclusive distribution of a FAGOR
CNC under the brand name of
Mark Century One.

- Opens its first subsidiary in the USA (Chicago).

1990 - Aurki changes its name to Fagor Automation.

1998 - New motor plant in Usurbil (SPAIN).

2000 - PC-based 8070 CNC for high
speed machining.

2000 - First conversational CNC: 800.
AC Digital Servo System.
New DRO models (NV).
Compliance with EMC Directive (CE Seal in all
FAGOR products).
New series of 8055 CNC control

2002 - New plant in Eskoriatza (Spain). Feedback
manufacturing and logistics plant.

2005 - Development of the integrated / compact
CNC Family
(FAGOR 8055-i / 8040 CNC).
Intelligent Positioning Drives for Motion Control
applications.
New high resolution linear, rotary and angular   
encders for CNC Systems.
New absolute Linear Encoders.
New FKM Series brushless motors.
MOTION CONTROLLER for general purpose
applications.
ACSD digital drive system.
